Geneva Public Library offers in-building service as of Jan. 20. Because COVID-19 still impacts our daily lives, the Library must follow guidelines from the State of Illinois for reopening (see below for more detail). We continue to follow recommendations from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). We share updates on our website, gpld.org.
Choose how to enjoy your Library. Use the Library online at gpld.org to reserve your books and materials, then pick up your materials from our drive-up window for contactless service, or drop in to visit us in person and:
* browse our collections
* check out materials
* reserve a study room (reservations recommended; limit of 4 people to a room)
* do homework
* use a computer (available first-come, first-serve)
* catch up on work
Our building and drive-up hours are:
Monday to Thursday: 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday: 12 p.m. - 5 p.m.
For your safety, we require masks throughout your stay. We reduced building capacity to allow for social distancing, increased our building cleaning and disinfection schedule, and placed hand sanitizer throughout the Library for your convenience.
