Hi, I'm Vitek.  I am the Network Administrator at the Geneva Public Library.  We have computers, laptops, and tablets plus a range of other equipment available for printing, faxing, copying, and more. If you've got old photos, VHS, 8mm film we've got digitization equipment you can use at the Library or at home to preserve your precious memories!  Contact us at geneva.library@gpld.org or call us at 630-232-0780 if you have questions.

WiFi printing
 

Print from inside and ouside the library.  Our ePrintIt WiFi Printing Service lets you easily send print documents, emails, and web content from your laptop, tablet, or smartphone to the Library. You can send print jobs from anywhere, even from home! Pay for and pick up your printouts at the Print Release Station near the Information Desk on the upper level of the library.

To print an email message or attachment, simply forward your email to:

B&W Printer: tbs-genevapl-bw@eprintitservice.com

Color Printer: tbs-genevapl-color@eprintitservice.com

You will be sent release instructions which can be used to retrieve your printouts.

  • Cost to print B&W or Color is $.10 per page. You must pay with cash.
  • Print jobs are held for 24 hours.

Computers for Adults

On the upper level we provide eight public access PC Internet computers and three iMac computers. Geneva Public Library card holders may use the computers for increments of hour. Thirty minute guest passes are available for anyone who does not have a Geneva Public Library card.

Information and Reader Services public access PC computers have the following software:

Computers for Youth

We offer six computers for children with filtered Internet access on the lower level in the Youth Services area. Youth may use a computer for 30 minutes with a Geneva Public Library card. Parents wishing to restrict Internet access for their child may indicate this on the Application for Youth under 18 years of age form.

Scanner and Fax

A scanner is available for public use in the Information and Reader Services Department. Files may be saved to a USB drive, emailed, or printed.

A fax and scanner is also available for public use in the upstairs lobby. Fax for domestic delivery is free.

Laptops and Phone Chargers

Laptops and phone chargers are available for use in house in both our Information & Readers Services and Youth Services Departments.

Tablets

We offer iPads for checkout.
 

iPads

We have six iPads available for checkout with a loan period of 14 days.  These devices are loaded with Apple's 16 built in apps.

Try out an iPad Air in our Youth Services Department loaded with these kid-friendly educational apps.

Early Literacy Stations

Two AWE Early Literacy Stations are available in Youth Services. These stations do not provide access to the Internet, but are stand-alone computers that have fifty learning games that cover topics ranging from math, science, and social studies to reading, writing, music and art.

Digitization Equipment

Video Converter

Transfer video to your computer from a VCR, DVD player, camcorder, or other analog device.

VCR/ DVD Player

Play VHS tapes or DVDs in order to transfer VHS tapes or DVDs to your computer with the video coverter.

8mm Camcorder

Play Super VHS or 8mm cassette tapes in order to transfer your Super VHS or 8mm cassette tapes to your computer with the video converter.

Photo Converter

Create digital files from hard copy photos.

Slide Converter

Create digital files from hard copy slides, negatives, and film.

Cassette Converter

Create MP3 files from your cassette tapes.

Vinyl Converter

Create MP3 files from your vinyl records.

8mm Film Converter

Transfer 8mm film to your computer.

WiFi

Free WiFi is available througout the library. Simply log on and select “GPLD Patron” as your wireless connection; no password required!
