IN-PERSON Intro to 3D Printing: Lithophane Nightlight

Lithophanes are artworks etched in a very thin translucent material that can be seen clearly only when backlit with a light source, like a nightlight.

Let's 3D print personalized lithophanes via this program. You can bring any 2D image (.jpg) to this program, even a photograph to try out the lithophane web-based software. We will also use SketchUp to make a piece that will allow your lithophane to hook into the night light. The library will be providing registered attendees with one LED night light that will attach to the 3D printed lithophane you make.
