Join presenter Jaymie Middendorf as she presents "Emigration from Europe: Ports of Departure".
As part of their journey from their homelands in Europe to the United States, our immigrant ancestors traveled through ports. We’ll discuss popular ports for departure in Europe and how to access available records. This lecture primarily focuses on records from 1850 to the 1930s. Ports being covered are Bremen, Germany; Copenhagen, Denmark; Rotterdam, Netherlands; Hamburg, Germany; and the United Kingdom and Ireland.
