Join us for "Living and Dying: A Love Story" and a Q&A on end-of-life options with Compassion & Choices, a national non-profit organization.
"Living and Dying: A Love Story" provides an intimate look at Charlie and Francie, who were together for 70 years, during their last week of life. Charlie was a retired surgeon and both of them were medical missionaries. Both facing terminal diagnoses, they decided to use Oregon’s Death with Dignity Law to die peacefully together.
Following the 20-minute film, Amy Sherman, Midwest Advocacy Director of Compassion & Choices, a national non-profit organization, and Karen Brooker and Kathryn Mazurek, local leaders of Compassion & Choices’ Twin Rivers Action Team (DeKalb/Kane County) will answer questions and lead a discussion about the film and end-of-life options.
